Several years ago [I can't remember if I was still working, or if it was after I retired in 2004] I was browsing in my favorite antique store, LaBelle's, and came across a beautiful tea themed tapestry folded up amongst their linens. It was inexpensively priced - I don't remember the exact cost but it was under $20, so I bought it. I'm certain I got a bargain.
It has patiently sat in my linen closet waiting for me to do something with it. When I recently came across it [on the bottom shelf where I don't go often], I decided to share it on my blog. It's dimensions are 28 x 40.
Isn't it beautiful? It's in excellent condition. I think the setting is the eighteenth century. I'd like to research its provenance - the artist of the scene, but I'm not sure where to start. Do you have any suggestions?
Some day I will take it to an upholstery shop to have it prepared for hanging in my living room, but until then it's safely tucked away in my linen closet.
Do you have any tea projects waiting to happen?
